Broadside welcomes your letters of comment (LOC) on any Bucconeer or general Worldcon topic. I will also start running a classified ad section in the next Broadside if I receive some classified ads.
Of course, I love receiving art-work (even the material Peggy Rae won't let me publish) and articles for our publications. I'm seeking black-and-white drawings and cartoons about Baltimore, fandom, or pirates.
Could someone do a drawing of Worf from Star Trek dressed as a pirate with the caption "I am not a Jolly Roger!" for my private collection? The image has been struck in my mind since we started bidding.
Artwork should be drawn on stock no larger than 8.5 inches by 14 inches. Let me know if the artwork should be returned.
I am looking for writers to take over some of the regular features in our publications such as the World-con and Worldcon/NASFiC Bid column, Baltimore area updates, or the Bucconeer Committee News column. I will also accept proposals for any new features you would be willing to produce for any of our publications.
The submission date for Broadside Three is March 31, 1997. Your editor would like to get material early because he has a Disclave to chair in May. Progress Report Two will be distributed at LoneStarCon2 in August. PR Two will be our big travel issue, so we will need articles on local Baltimore attractions, restaurant reviews, and other articles on things of interest to fans visiting the Baltimore area. The submission deadline for PR Two is June 30, 1997.
