The new Columbus Center for Marine Biotechnology, located at 111 Market Place on Baltimoreís Inner Harbor, opened to the public in December. The $160 million structure with a design evoking a sailing ship including a fabric roof held aloft by "masts" combines exhibits, an education center, and research laboratories.
