SAN ANTONIO April 23, 1997—The 1997 World Science Fiction Convention committee announced the 1997 Hugo Award nominees for outstanding achievement in the science fiction field. LoneStarCon2 received a total of 429 valid ballots.

We are pleased that our own committee members Richard and Nicki Lynch and contributor Joe Mayhew have been nominated as well. Not to mention contributor Michael A. Burstein's John W. Campbell Award nomination for best new SF writer.
