As I write this, the 56th World Science Fiction Convention is two months away. Those craving news of Bucconeer shall have to procure it electronically. Our Webmasters, Dana Carson and Rikk Mulligan, are continuously augmenting our website with new information. Subscribe to our unmoderated e-mail mailing list to receive announcements and participate in informal elucidation (some actually related to Bucconeer) with other list members by sending e-mail to bucconeer-list-request@bucconeer.worldcon.org with the word "subscribe" in the subject line.

At Bucconeer, you will receive a pocket program containing myriad jewels of wisdom concerning our schedule and vital lore assembled by Covert Beach. A souvenir book created by Richard Lynch shall broaden your knowledge of our honored guests and other useful particulars related to Bucconeer and Worldcons in general. James Daugherty and his crew of scriveners will enlighten and entertain you with their daily newsletters.

And—if the Sun doesn’t go nova and we have enough money left after making reimbursements—we will publish a post-convention Broadside Seven (the Parting Shot). My fantasy is to publish a four-color offset printed book along the lines of the two Noreascon (1981 and 1989 Worldcons in Boston) Memory Books.

While my fellow crew members are keeping Bucconeer afloat, I shall be wandering around taking snapshots and collecting fleeting memories. If the Parting Shot becomes a reality, I will distribute a solicitation for your amusing anecdotes, witty comments, whimsical drawings, and loan of your notable photographs for use in this collective remembrance of Bucconeer.
